Are you a store?
No, we are a seasonal children's consignment and overstock sale. Each year, we hold two sales - one for Spring/Summer merchandise and one for Fall/Winter merchandise. We do hope to have our overstock (possibly some consignment) available for online purchase at anytime. This will hopefully happen sometime in the future. Please sign up on our mailing list to receive more information about our sale.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards with a photo id.
What items can I consign or buy?
We will be accepting seasonal boutiques, designer and custom hand made clothing, shoes, accessories, and baby items such as designer bedding, and designer diaper bags. We will also be accepting school uniforms, gymnastics, dance and karate uniforms, boy/girl scout uniforms, and costumes. All items must be in excellent condition with out holes, tears, stains, buttons missing or signs of wear.
We will accept boys and girls infant - through 16.
We will NOT accept small toys, car seats, discount or department store brands and Maternity clothing or items. My Little Lollipop has the right to refuse any brand or item even if it is on the list. All items must meet the standards of My Little Lollipop.
For a list of brands that will be accepted please click here.
How do I register to become a consignor?
All you need to do to register as a consignor is to click here or on the link labeled register to consign. It will take you to a page where you will fill out some personal information and press enter. You will then be given a consignor number. We recommend writing that number down because most of us will forget our numbers at some point or another. Also, remember to write down your password. You are then free to enter your items as you please.
How much percentage will I receive if I become a consignor?
You will receive 65% of the sale price.
When can I expect my check?
We try to have the checks ready at pick up, however, sometimes we get caught sorting your items and are unable to cut the checks. If this happens we will mail your checks out the next day after the sale.
Do I need an appointment to drop off my items?
Yes, you will need an appointment to drop off your items. We will try to make drop off go as quickly as possible because we know that your time is very valuable! It will help us if you have your items sorted according to gender and size and have your paper work already filled out. You can sign up for an appointment by clicking here.
What do I need to bring to my drop off appointment?
Your items need to be freshly laundered and hanging on hangers with appropriate tags on them. It will make the process go much quicker if you can have the items sorted by gender and size.
You will need a copy of our release slip saying that if anything happens to your items My Little Lollipop is not responsible.
Questions about tagging and pricing
How should I price my items?
Price the items to sell! If you are willing to part with the item and do not want it back price it to sell. We suggest that you set the price at 30% to 35% of the retail value. This means that if you paid $20.00 for a shirt than you would price it at $6. Items that are new or barley worn feel free to price higher. We have noticed that clothing that is pressed will sell better and generally can sell for more. We suggest that you price outfits a little higher than separates.
What is the minimum price that I can price an item?
The minimum is $1.00. Each item should be priced in $.50 increments.
Do all my tags need to be printed with a barcode?
Yes, you must register each item online and print it with the barcode on it. If your items do not have tags with barcodes on them they will not be allowed into the sale. If you do not have access to a computer or printer see the sale for your area for contact information.
How should my items be presented to sell?
We ask that you have plain hangers. We do not want any hangers that have the size number at the top. You can get wire hangers from any dry cleaners for free if you ask. This only helps to maintain a consistent uniform look and helps the items to sell better.
Please put your item on the hanger with the hook facing the left like a question mark. See our consignor page for more information on how to hang, pin and display your items.
When I price my shoes in a Ziploc bag, how do I attach the price tag?
Stick it directly onto the bag with packing tape. Make sure that you do not cover up the barcode but that your tag is securely taped to the bag. Please make sure the price tag is visible.
Should I iron my clothes?
Wrinkled clothes do not sell! We will likely send them home to you if they are extremely wrinkled. Please do what is necessary to make your clothes look clean and nice. Remember, the better they look, the more likely they are to sell! A great product to try is Downy Wrinkle Releaser.
Questions about the Pre-Sale
Can I bring someone with me to the pre-sale?
YES! You will be given 2 passes for consignor shopping night. One will be to enter at the consignor pre-sale time and the other to enter at the guest pre-sale time. You are welcome to give the guest pre-sale pass to anyone that you wish. The reason that the pass is not for the same time is because we feel like the consignors deserve first rights to any item that they wish to purchase. You are welcome to shop first and then meet up with your guest later in the evening to show them all the bargains you have found. We will also be having a special Grandparent time to shop as well. This will include anyone who is a grandparent that would like to come and shop for their grandchildren. Anyone may accompany them with the exception of children.
Can I bring children to the Pre-Sale?
No, Children are not allowed at the Pre-sale. This is a time for moms to enjoy shopping for their children - not with them. We want this to be a fun time for everyone that has worked so hard to get their items ready to sell. It is also not fair to ask parents to make accommodations for their children and then allow others to bring theirs. To make sure that the items you buy fit your child we encourage you to measure your child and then bring a tape measure and measurements. Also, you can trace your child's foot and then cut it out in order to measure for shoes. Just make sure that you come and enjoy having a special mom's night out!
How should I carry my clothes when I am shopping on consignor night?
We suggest you bring a laundry basket with your name on it. We will have some boxes for you to use, however those will be very limited.
How can I pay for my items?
My Little Lollipop takes cash, check with proper id, and all major credit cards.
Questions about 1/2 off, Pick up, and Donating
Do my items automatically become half off at the half off sale?
No, We will not be having a half/off sale this time. We realized that with the consignment items not being half price that it was to much confusion and will not be offering it as an option. You will need to price your items accordingly.
What do I do if I decide to donate my items after the sale is over?
The best thing to do is to wait until the sale is completely over. You may call us and tell us that you wish to donate your items or you can come and pick the items that you wish to take and donate the ones that you don't want. However, when you do not mark your items before hand on your tags we can not be responsible for giving you a tax credit.
What if I forget to pick up my items on time or need to make other arrangements?
We would love to be able to hold everyone's items until it were convenient for them to pick them up. However, we only have our building rented for a short time and we have to vacate them. We have to get our charities in and out of there in a hurry. We have set times for people to pick up their items. If you see that you will be unable to pick up during that time please call a friend and have them pick them up for you. Then call us and let us know who will be picking up your items so that for security reasons we will be able to give your items to that person. If you are unable to pick up your items during the allotted time, those items become property of My Little Lollipop. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this!
